Summary
This document explains how to add the path RBox’s Common Files folder to the Windows PATH environment variable. The Common Files folder contains key internal files required by many RBox Components/Tools.
You may require to do this in some cases where a RBox Component such as the Outlook Addin is not functioning properly.
1. Process
Carry out the following steps to add the path RBox’s Common Files folder to the Windows PATH environment variable.
Open Windows Explorer/File Explorer on the computer and folder list pane right-click on ‘Computer’ and select ‘Properties’.
1.1 In the ‘Properties’ window, select ‘Advanced system settings’ and then in the window that comes up, click on the ‘Environment Variables’ button as shown below:
1.2 In the ‘Environment Variables’ window, in the ‘System Variables’ secion, select the “Path” variable from the list and then click the ‘Edit’.
1.2 In the ‘Environment Variables’ window, in the ‘System Variables’ section, select the “Path” variable from the list and then click the ‘Edit’ button.
1.3 In the dialog that comes up, click in the ‘Variable value’ text box and scroll to the end of the text. You can also press the ‘End’ key for this.
Now type a semi-colon and the paste the following file path as shown in the screenshot below.
Important: Replace <OS-Drive> below with the drive partition on which your Operating System (OS) is installed.
<OS-Drive>\Program Files\Platina\WpCommon\AppFiles
Click on the ‘OK’ button to save the changes and then close the ‘Environment Variables’ & ‘Properties’ windows by clicking ‘OK’.
