1. Customize the the candidate detail screen
You can use the Screen Designer Tool for customizing the format of the candidate detail screen. Follow these steps for doing this:
- Point to the Tools Mega menu and select 'User Configuration'. The User Configuration Navigator will open.
- In the Navigator tree-view, click on the 'Detail View Designs' data view. The right-hand list pane will display the screen designs available for various module screens.
- In the Object Type column drop-down select 'Candidate Detail' - this will display the available candidate detail screen designs.
- Click on the 'Library' link in the Design Type column for 'Saved Drafts'. The screen designer for the candidate detail page will open.
To change the order of a field,
- Click on the label of the field and drag it to the new position on the screen. Note that you cannot drag-drop fields across different sections.
To rename a field,
- Click on the 'Edit' icon adjacent to the field to rename.
- In the dialog that comes up type the new name in the 'Label' text box.
- Click the 'Update' link.
To hide a field,
- Click on the 'Edit' icon adjacent to the field to rename. In the dialog that comes up select the checkbox for the 'Hide Label' field.
To remove a field from the screen,
- Click the garbage bin icon next to the field label.
To add your own user-defined field,
- Double-click in the blank space in the section where you want to add the field. The Add Field dialog will come up.
- In the 'Select Field' drop-down scroll down to the User Defined Fields category, select the field you want to add and click the 'Add' button.
- Once done, click on the 'Save UI' link to save your design.
2. Add a custom candidate screening section
You can use the Screen Designer Tool for adding a custom candidate screening section in the candidate detail screen. Follow these steps for doing this:
- Point to the Tools Mega menu and select 'User Configuration'. The User Configuration Navigator will open.
- In the Navigator tree-view, click on the 'Detail View Designs' data view. The right-hand list pane will display the screen designs available for various module screens.
- In the Object Type column drop-down select 'Candidate Detail' - this will display the available candidate detail screen designs.
- Click on the 'Library' link in the Design Type column for 'Saved Drafts'. The screen designer for the candidate detail page will open.
- On the top of the designer page click on Add UI Block
- The 'Select UI Block' dialog will be displayed.
- Select the Add Sub Block option and in the adjacent drop-down select 'Field Block'.
- In the 'Tab/Sub Block Name' text box, enter the name for the section. For e.g. 'Candidate Screening'.
- Select the positioning of the section on the page - select 'Before' and then select an existing section if you want to position the new block among the existing sections. If the new section should be added at the bottom of the page select 'End'.
- Click 'OK' to add the section.
To add fields to the newly added custom section,
- Scroll down to the newly added section.
- Double-click in the blank column in the section. The Add Field dialog will come up.
- In the 'Select Field' drop-down, select the field you want to add and click the 'Add' button.
- Repeat above steps for adding each candidate screening fied.
- Once done, click on the 'Save UI' link to save your design.
3. Customize Detail Screen for Contact, Client etc.
You can use the Screen Designer Tool for customizing the format of the candidate detail screen. Follow these steps for doing this:
- Point to the Tools Mega menu and select 'System Configuration'. The System Configuration Navigator will open.
- In the Navigator tree-view, expand 'View Customization' & click on the 'Detail View Designs' data view. The right-hand list pane will display the screen designs available for various module screens.
- In the Object Type column drop-down select the type of object for which to customize the screen. For e.g. for Job screens select 'Requisition', for Contacts screen select 'Contact Person' etc. This will display the available detail screen designs for the selected object.
- Click on the 'Library' link in the Design Type column next to the type of screen for the object that you want to customize. For e.g. in the case of Jobs, you can customize you can select a specific 'state' of Job screen to customize. The 'State' column would show 'Active (Requisition)', 'Draft Requisition' etc. corresponding to different states of a job requirement. The screen designer for the selected detail page will open.
To change the order of a field,
- Click on the label of the field and drag it to the new position on the screen. Note that you cannot drag-drop fields across different sections.
To rename a field,
- Click on the 'Edit' icon adjacent to the field to rename and in the dialog that comes up type the new name in the 'Label' text box.
- Click the 'Update' link.
To hide a field,
- Click the 'Eye' icon next to the field label.
To add your own user-defined field,
- Double-click in the blank space in the section where you want to add the field. The Add Field dialog will come up.
- In the 'Select Field' drop-down scroll down to the User Defined Fields category, select the field you want to add and click the 'Add' button.
- Once done, click on the 'Save UI' link to save your design.
4. Reset a Detail Screen Design to Initial Design
You can use the Screen Designer Tool for customizing the format of the candidate detail screen. Follow these steps from the Administrator login for doing this:
- Point to the Tools Mega menu and select 'System Configuration'. The System Configuration Navigator will open.
- In the Navigator tree-view, expand 'View Customization' & click on the 'Detail View Designs' data view. The right-hand list pane will display the screen designs available for various module screens.
- In the Object Type column drop-down select the object for which to reset the design - this will display the available detail screen designs.
- Click on the 'Library' link in the Design Type column. The screen designer will open.
- Click the 'Reset to Default' link at the top of the screen.
